Request for Proposal and Grant Application Form
Submitting an Application:
Applications should be submitted using the online form, available at the "Apply Now" link below through March 28, 2025, at 4 p.m. CDT.
The Methodist Foundation for Arkansas (MFA) will provide only one unit to a church/institution.
Churches/institutions that hold accounts with MFA are eligible to apply.
MFA will pay for the unit and its delivery.
Required Items for Grant Consideration and Required Release Forms (signed by the church/institution):
- The applicant will provide a signed contract/release form that releases the Methodist Foundation for Arkansas from any liability, operational cost, and maintenance cost.
- The applicant will provide a statement that the church/institution is responsible for the annual software fee (which is optional).
- The applicant will provide confirmation that their city or municipality will allow them to install the charging unit.
- The applicant will provide a statement confirming that they understand they are responsible for the installation and upkeep.
Additional Information and Considerations:
- The unit will be able to charge two EVs at a time.
- The unit will include a label that states the unit has been provided by MFA and include an MFA QR code that contains information about MFA. The church/institution has an option to include a QR code on this label, as well.
- Churches/institutions have the option of making the unit free or they may charge a user fee. If there is a charge, an attorney should be consulted to ensure the earnings do not jeopardize their non-profit status.
- Units will include software to assist those using the unit. The software is optional if the church/institution wants to renew each year and will be the responsibility of the church.
