Demystifying Wills and Trusts: A Free Learning Zoom from MFA, August 7

LITTLE ROCK, Arkansas (July 9, 2025)—For many people, one of the first steps in estate planning is figuring out the difference between a will and a trust. The second is determining which is right for them. These two types of estate planning documents accomplish similar things, but learning the difference between the two can be a critical part of planning your legacy and protecting your assets.

Join the Methodist Foundation for Arkansas (MFA) for this quarter’s free Learning Zoom as we host attorney Jarred Kibbey for “Demystifying Wills and Trusts” on Thursday, August 7, 2025, at 10 a.m. CDT.

Will you join us? Trust us. It'll be worth it! Registration is now available on the MFA website.

Kibbey is co-founder of Natural State Law in Little Rock. His practice area focuses entirely on estate planning, with an emphasis on charitable giving. Prior to opening Natural State Law, he served a wide array of organizations from large not-for-profit insurance companies, to privately held companies where he worked directly with some of the largest employers and most respected health systems in the country to create innovative business solutions to complex problems. Jarred also served as the Senior Policy Advisor to the Arkansas Department of Health and Senior Healthcare Advisor to Governor Hutchinson. He and his family attend Pulaski Heights UMC.

“August is National Make a Will Month, which is why we chose to offer this topic at this particular time,” said MFA Director of Development the Rev. Lynn Kilbourne. “But there’s never a bad time to start putting plans into place so your legacy is clear to those who will need those instructions. This session will help attendees decide how to move in the direction that’s best for their particular situation.”
