LITTLE ROCK, Arkansas (July 17, 2026)—The Rev. Susan Henry-Crowe, current chair of the United Methodist Church’s Judicial Council and former General Secretary of the denomination’s Board of Church and Society, will speak at the upcoming Methodist Foundation for Arkansas Methodist Lawyers Conferences, the first of which is set for Thursday, September 17, 2026, at 8:30 a.m. in Little Rock. Both conferences are free to participants and include opportunities for earning continuing legal education (CLE) credits.
Registration is now open for the September event, which offers three locations for participation: the Little Rock office of the Foundation, 601 Wellington Village Road; First UMC of El Dorado; and First UMC of Paragould. The El Dorado and Paragould satellite locations will be linked to Little Rock by video.

Henry-Crowe also will speak at next spring’s Northwest Arkansas Methodist Lawyers Conference, set for Tuesday, April 13, 2027. An additional continuing legal education event sponsored by the Methodist Foundation for Arkansas (MFA), the Northwest Arkansas Methodist Lawyers Conference will be open to the same audience as the Central Arkansas event: United Methodist attorneys and others who represent United Methodist congregations in their work. The day-long, in-person conference will take place Thursday, April 13, 2027, at Central UMC in Fayetteville. The Foundation plans to open registration for that event in February.
“We are so grateful to be able to bring Susan to Arkansas for both of these learning opportunities,” said MFA President and CEO the Rev. J. Wayne Clark. “While I’ve known her since we both served as college chaplains, her years of experience on the Judicial Council will be of particular interest to United Methodist attorneys. I’m thrilled that she has accepted both invitations to help Arkansas attorneys learn more about church law.”
Each conference will have different educational content, meaning attorneys can earn CLE credits for attending both.
Complete agendas for both events are forthcoming, pending presenter confirmation and CLE credit verification.
