The Foundation staff is available to present on a variety of topics to your finance committee, trustees, congregants, and supporters. Take a look at our offerings below:

Planning a Legacy
Planning a Legacy is a holistic estate planning seminar that covers important matters for all adults. This complimentary seminar includes basic information about wills, funeral and memorial services, end-of-life planning, and legacy gifts. The goal of the seminar is to inspire participants to take their next steps in their estate planning and to see it as a part of their legacy. For some that may be an initial trip to an attorney; for others it may be a follow-up appointment, sharing their funeral plans with a loved one, or adding their church to their will.
The format is a 90-minute gathering with a meal, a presentation from the Foundation, and a Q&A with an attorney. Participants will receive a binder with helpful documents to reference and complete as they start or continue this process. The Foundation is pleased to reimburse churches for the meal and for childcare to be made available. Additionally, we created communication pieces for the local church to use when advertising the program, as well as follow-up with the participants.

Endowments 101
Designed for both the lay and clergy leadership of a congregation, Endowments 101 covers the basics of what a church needs to consider as it sets up or manages endowed funds. Participants will spend about 30 minutes learning how endowments can help ensure long-term support for their church's ministries, care for property, and enable bold plans for the future. Endowments 101 is led by a member of the Foundation's Development staff. Churches often combine this session with an existing committee meeting, such as the Board of Trustees, Church Council, or a dedicated Endowment Committee.
