MFA Brings SMU’s Perkins Summit to Little Rock, Offers Full Scholarships for Laity

LITTLE ROCK, Arkansas (February 5, 2025) — The Perkins Summit for Faith and Learning offers a wide range of theological mini-courses for laypersons, community leaders and clergy. Somewhere between seminary and Sunday School, the Summit leverages the rich learning community of SMU’s Perkins School of Theology to provide an experience in theological education.

LITTLE ROCK, Arkansas (February 4, 2025) — Clergywomen of the Arkansas Conference: MFA is offering full scholarships to Lead(HER), a new conference for women in pastoral leadership hosted April 29-30 by Resurrection, a United Methodist congregation in Leawood, Kan.

Seminary Scholarship Applications Open for 2025

Applications for MFA Seminary Scholarship Due by March 14

LITTLE ROCK, Ark. (February 4, 2025) — Any student attending a United Methodist seminary and seeking ordination as an Elder or Deacon within the Arkansas Conference of the United Methodist Church is eligible to apply for the MFA Seminary Scholarship, which provides $22,000 per year for a three-year period. The application window for Fall 2025 is now open.

Bishops’ Club Celebrates 38th Annual Luncheon Gathering

Among friends of The Methodist Foundation for Arkansas, there was much to celebrate at the 38th Annual Bishops’ Club Luncheon. This year’s event, held on Friday, May 17, 2024, at Little Rock’s Camp Aldersgate, included a record attendance crowd and featured speaker Dr. Ashley Boggan, the General Secretary of the General Commission on Archives and History.
